UK's First £100 Million House!
UK's First £100 Million House!
Who says the Property Market is in Recession?
Details have emerged from the successful planning application by Marcus Cooper, a high end developer in the capital, to build the UK's most expensive house.
The developer had previously bought seven office buildings in Regent's Park in 2007 for £23.7 million and now intends to convert them into a 50,000 square foot mansion fit for a King or Queen (or perhaps just as likely, an Oligarch)!
In fact, when it is complete the house will be the second largest residential property in London. Only the Queen's official residence at Buckingham Palace will be bigger!
The "Mega-Mansion" will take over the title of most expensive home from a property which sold in Kensington in 2009 for a mere £80 million to an undisclosed multi-millionaire.
Although all there is to go on at the moment is the planning application, we can tell you that the house will have 10 bedroom suites, and all the trappings and luxuries you might expect at such an astronomical price.
The property comes with a heavenly view too. The new owner will be able to survey Regent's Park and iconic landmarks from her own 40ft rooftop garden. When she tires of the view she can simply retire indoors to be pampered in a huge leisure complex, complete with pool and gym, naturally.
The Hollywood-style house also has its own private cinema, so the lucky inhabitants don't have to venture to multiplex!
Work is due to begin soon, so start saving those pennies!
